I’m Laura Lee Heinsohn, speaker and writerLori's passion is too impart how learning to "live loved" in the arms of God brings sweet peace and extravagant joy, precious gifts she was missing as a child.
A self-proclaimed "wild child," Lori's childhood included an alcoholic father, teenage pregnancy, and a near death druck driving automobile accident. Growing up in chaos and confusion-wearing shame and guilt on a daily basis-Lori purposely headed down a dark path. Sitting in a bar on her 21st birthday, God came to her in an incredible way. He picked her up, dusted her off, and transformed her from a wild-child to his peace-filled child.
Through her high-energy sense of humor and transparent vulnerability, Lori connects with women in a unique way, making you fast friends, but her ability to creatively impart nuggets of God’s Truth will change your life. As a funny story teller, she’s able to captivate audiences while sprinkling truth that heals wounded and tired hearts..
For more than two decades, Lori has inspired audiences in the USA, Europe, and South America. She will keynote at the Association of Christian Schools International Seattle Convention and has ministered with Rick Johnson’s Single Mom’s Family Camp, MOPS, Teen Challenge and shared the podium with Paul (The Shack) Young. Laura has also joyfully ministered at women's retreats, conferences, luncheons and church services.
Lori is the author of Cracking the Parenting Code: 6 Clues to Solving the Mystery of Meeting Your Child’s Needs, and has been featured on the international television show Rejoice; featured on numerous national radio programs including Women Today with Vonette Bright, Christianity in a Changing Culture with Steve Davis, and has been featured in several magazines.
As the founder of the Bee-Bop Kids, an international children’s performing art’s evangelistic team, Lori has had the opportunity to share to the love of God while traveling around the world. Active in ministry for over 20 years, she is also the founder of the Family Bureau of Investigation Relationship Workshops.
Married to fellow adventurer Randy, they have two grown children, eight grandchildren, and have parented eight Brazilian exchange students. Laura and her family love to snow ski, bike and hike up in the beautiful, rainy Northwest.
